What is dry cleaning, it’s process and Why dry clean?

Dry cleaning involves the cleaning of fabrics without the use of water
to clean clothes, bedding, and other types of
fabrics.
The dry cleaning process requires 3 steps:
- washing the fabric in a solvent;
- spinning to extract excess solvent; and
- drying by tumbling in a hot air stream.
Water can damage certain fabrics such as wool, leather and silk. Using
a washing machine can cause damages to delicate fabrics, clothing with buttons or
zipper, garments that are lace and other delicate decorations.
As dry cleaning is a “dry process” and doesn’t involve the use of a tumbling
machine, the cleaning is safer on your goods.
