Support your local community – COVID-19 update
A growing number of businesses are being heavily impacted by COVID-19. Some have endured temporarily shutdowns. Some voluntarily, some forcefully. Some businesses will be forced to shut down forever. These small businesses are often owned by someone you know or are connected to whether that be a friend, family, or neighbour.
Whilst we appreciate what the Australian Government is doing to support individuals and businesses with financial relief, the long game is that the government will need to pull the pin on its assistance at some stage. Ultimately, it will be up to the community and customers to keep the ‘mum and dad’ run businesses running.
There are many ways to support the local community. We are not asking for your help specifically, but want to encourage you, the community to shop at the local stores first. Many restaurants are now offering delivery and pick up options. Some businesses now support online shopping experiences whilst some have introduced gift cards.
We are all in this together and want to thank everyone during these tough times support supporting local businesses and your local community.
